Mike Tattersall is a startup investor at True. in London. Mike has worked in the retail and consumer sector for 20 years. He began his career at Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) where he qualified as a chartered accountant working with clients including BAT, Glaxo, SAB and Associated Newspapers. After four years, Mike joined the renowned UK-focused investment bank, Cazenove, where he spent 10 years as Headof European Food Retail. Mike specifically led the research element of corporate advisory relationships which included Tesco and Booker. He was also involved in the IPOs of Burberry and Inditex.After the sale of Cazenove to JP Morgan in 2010, Mike moved to UBS to lead the European Food Retail franchise in equities, picking up advisory relationships with Sainsbury and Greggs whilst also leading the IPO of Ocado. In 2013 Mike was a founding partner at The Lazarus Partnership, an independent research consultancy, with responsibility for all UK Consumer research.At TrueStart Mike is responsible for delivering the partnership proposition to current and future Retail & Strategic Partners of the firm. He also has a broader role within True Group to develop thought leadership content.
