Michael Stoppelman is an active angel/seed investor in Los Angeles. He's the former Senior Vice President of Engineering at Yelp. He started at Yelp as a software engineer working on the search engine. He took over as head engineering in 2012 after serving as a manager and Director of Engineering in the proceeding years. He scaled theengineering team from 30 to over 500 engineers. Prior to Yelp he was a software engineer at Google for 3.5 years and served as the tech lead for the AdSense Traffic Quality team. He received his BS in Computer Science from Purdue in West Lafayette, Indiana in 2003.
