CorFlow Therapeutics CorFlow Therapeutics
CorFlow Therapeutics is a medtech startup that develops proprietary technologies for diagnosis and treatment of microvascular obstructions in heart attack patients. The CorFlow technologies enable interventional cardiologists to diagnose and treat MVO in severe heart attack patients thereby potentially reducing the short- and long-term complicationrates in these patients. $48.5M / Series B / Sep 10, 2024
HEPTA Medical HEPTA Medical
HEPTA Medical develops a sensor, embedded into a bronchoscopic or percutaneous ablation catheter, which provides temperature-based feedback. This enables real-time dosing to precisely target and ablates pulmonary nodules, the precursor of lung cancer, without the need for surgery or radiation. $6.3M / Series A / Sep 04, 2024
Corwave Corwave
The CorWave LVAD utilizes an undulating disc wave pumping mechanism, replacing the high speed, high shear impeller of current continuous flow rotary pumps. The result is much less trauma to the blood, reducing clotting and bleeding complications. The high frequency actuation of the Corwave pump provides for pulsatile flow that mimics the action ofthe native heart. Current LVADs provide only continuous flow with no significant pulsation, due to the high inertia of their rotors. Its low power consumption and small size will facilitate totally implantablity with the incorporation of a wireless energy transfer system. $43.2M / Series C / Jan 06, 2021
Pedra Technology Pedra Technology
Pedra Technology has developed the world’s first intra-operative monitor for real-time blood perfusion assessment which addresses a critical need in the peripheral vascular disease (PVD) market. PVD affects over 20 million people in the US, over 80 million people in China, and represents a multi-billion dollar opportunity. Without proper care PVDcan lead to limb ischemia and amputations. Chronic wounds or ulcers on the feet (unable to heal after 8 weeks due to poor blood flow) are treated with balloon angioplasty to re-open blocked blood vessels in the legs. During such procedures, the Pedra device gives the physician intra-operative instantaneous feedback on blood perfusion of foot tissue. It is this blood perfusion at the tissue level that is critical for wound healing. This is the first time that physicians, using the Pedra device, are able to achieve an accurate objective and quantitative measure of blood perfusion while the patient is still in the operating theater. No other technology does this, as X-ray angiograms only image macrovascular blood flow, which can lead to misleading conclusions, resulting in adverse outcomes or repeat procedures. $4.7M / Series A / Sep 22, 2020
UroDev Medical UroDev Medical
UroDev Medical designs devices to improve the quality of life for people with Spinal Cord Injury and Disease. Their first product, The Connected Catheter, will revolutionize the way millions of people deal manage their bladders. $2.5M / Seed / Apr 05, 2019
