Mr. Newport was also a founding member of Global Biomedical Capital Corporation, Zelos Therapeutics Inc., Prime Trials Inc. and other life science organizations. He is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors and also serves on the corporate boards of The Opmedic Group and Medgenesis Therapeutics Inc. Mr. Newport earned Honours B.A. and Masters of Accounting degrees from the University of Waterloo.
