Kelly Lim is a startup investor at JIF Capital. Kelly Lim joined JAFCO Asia in 2008 as an in-house legal counsel with the responsibility for advising the investment department in deal structure, reviewing and negotiating the legal documentation for our investments in various countries.Kelly first gained her experience as a corporate lawyer in Singapore with Khattar Wong & Partners (nowknown as KhattarWong), Alban Tay Mahtani & de Silva, and later with Allen & Gledhill’s Financial Services Department. Thereafter, she joined Corporate Securities Group of Baker & McKenzie in Hong Kong. Throughout her private practice career, her areas of focus comprise mainly corporate finance work covering various capital markets, mergers & acquisitions and finance/investment deals. In fact at Bakers & McKenzie (Hong Kong), she was part of the team that advised Champion REIT’s manager on the REIT’s issuance of convertible bonds in 2006, the first convertible bonds issued by a Hong Kong-listed REIT, which also won the ‘Debt Market Deal of the Year’ award at the 2007 ALB Hong Kong Law Awards. As a private practitioner, she has advised clients from a broad range of industries which include listed companies, government-linked corporations, multi-national companies, investment banks and asset managers.
