Before that, Karen headed up Zurich Insurance Group's Global Life Risk Analysis department, and helped build Zurich's risk and capital management modelsand approach for the Life business.Before joining Zurich Insurance Group, Karen was already a member of the Swiss Re family from 1998to 2008, based in Singapore and Zurich. Karen was the Deputy Lead of the Swiss Solvency Testproject, held multiple positions in Group Capital Management, and was part of the Economic Value Management team. Prior to that, she was in the Life & Health division, responsible for the Critical Illness Committee, and worked in Medical Insurance pricing and product design for Asia. Karen is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, and holds a Master of Business from theNanyang Technological University of Singapore, where she also received the Lee Kwan Yew Gold Medal award.
