After being in public accounting for 10 years, she joined Multi-Color, alabel printer for the consumer products industry, as Corporate Controller, where she was involved in a wide variety of activities including working on Multi-Color’s acquisitions.From there, Julie made the jump into the world of start-ups. She was the CFO at Internet Payment Solutions, a company that handled non-credit card online payments for gaming companies (no, not gambling companies – online role-playing games). The company handled payments for gaming companies and customers all over the world and serviced over 80 different non-credit card online payments (she still finds it hard to believe that many non-credit card payment methods exist). IPS was acquired by PlaySpan, a VC-backed Silicon Valley start-up, and Julie continued with PlaySpan as their finance controller. During her time there, PlaySpan completed two more venture capital financing rounds, as well as an acquisition. In 2011, PlaySpan completed a successful exit, being acquired by Visa, in just their second acquisition since going public in 2008.Julie remained with Visa as a Senior Business Leader for a year until they asked her to move to California from her home in Cincinnati. A move to California wasn’t in the works, as it was too hard to leave behind the green grass and trees of the Midwest. After being involved with companies large and small, Julie decided it was time to come to the other side of the table, and she now leads Allos’ finance and HR functions.
