Julia Dan joined Oxford Bioscience Partners as a Venture Partner in 2013, bringing extensive experience of bridging the US and China markets in the healthcare industry. Most recently, Julia co-founded BGI Americas Corporation and brought BGI, a Chinese genomics sequencing service provider, into the US market. As Chief Executive Officer of BGIAmericas, Julia built a full staff and achieved positive returns within the first year of operations, and collaborated with leading pharmaceutical companies, including Merck, Pfizer, Novartis and Eli Lilly, etc..Prior to BGI Americas, Julia co-launched Sanofi-Genzyme’s operations in China, including managing a cross-functional team of eleven business units and functional groups, and supported the company’s acquisitions and licensing activities in the US and China. Before Genzyme, Julia had seven years of operational and management experience at China Construction Bank, the second largest bank in the world, including co-launching its operations in Germany.Julia holds a BA from Beijing Foreign Studies University China, an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, and an MPH from Harvard University School of Public Health.
