John Wu Jiong is a startup investor at FengHe Group. Inc.’s search and e-commerce technology engineering team in the USA from 1996 to 1999, during which he was awarded a US patent for his technological achievement in the area of “Semi-structured Search”.As an active investor since 2000, John has also identified, invested in and nurtured several promising entrepreneurial companies. For example, he is a co-founder and investor of Huazhu Hotels Group (NASDAQ: HTHT), a hotel chain in China with over 2,000 hotels; angel investor of Focused Photonics (SZSE: 300203), a high tech instrumentation company; and angel investor in Jumei.com (NYSE: JMEI), an e-commerce company in the beauty sector.John is also a regular guest speaker at high profile conferences and colleges (e.g., Harvard Business School, National University of Singapore, Techventure).John graduated from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science with High Distinction.
