Jean Cayla is a startup investor at Optiver in Chicago. Jean Cayla started his career at Optiver in 2005 in Amsterdam as a wholesale trader on the European single stock derivatives desk. He transferred to Optiver US in Chicago in 2008 to lead the development of the wholesale trading department. In 2010, he joined the S&P500 options market making desk and drove growth in access to order flow byexpanding Optiver's phone market presence. Three years later, he made partner and reintroduced floor trading to Optiver. As the current Head of Execution Trading, he leads a team of 25 traders and is responsible for managing the firm's non-electronic trading. Recently he took on the additional challenge of developing direct trading at Optiver US. Jean graduated from Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Bordeaux in 2004 and obtained a master's degree from Hogeschool van Amsterdam in 2005.
