James Jin is a General Partner at Ventech China. He has ten years experience in venture capital investment and M&A practice. Since James was born and raised in China, he also possesses an extensive network and strong understanding of the Chinese market and entrepreneurial environment. James lived 9 years in the US before coming back to Shanghaiin 2004. He co-founded the CMHJ China fund, a venture capital fund with investment focus on early stage technology companies, and Hidden Jade Capital, an M&A advisory firm which closed more than $200 million transactionvolume (including SJI and Sinocom HK00299) in two years.Previously, James was general manager of Opentel Communications, Inc, a telecom startup based in San Francisco, which was sold to a private equity firm in 2002. Before coming to the US in 1995, James was a Marketing Executive at Eastman Kodak China based in Shanghai, in charge of five business units.. James has also been an adjacent professor at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore since 2007.James graduated from Shanghai International University, and holds Master degree in Computer Science from California State University, East Bay, and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania.
