James Brennan is a startup investor at Ireland Strategic Investment Fund. James is an Investment Director on the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund’s Innovation Team with a primary responsibility for the fund’s venture capital portfolio. The ISIF, Ireland’s sovereign development fund, was established in 2014 with a statutory mandate to invest on a commercial basis to support economic activity and employment and with itsscale and long term outlook, it is very well placed to support and capitalise on the opportunity set in high growth emerging Irish technology and life science companies. Prior to working with the ISIF, James was a member of the investment team of the National Pensions Reserve Fund, a globally diversified Irish sovereign wealth fund that evolved into the ISIF in 2014. James holds a BSc Theoretical Physics and an MSc Computational Science from University College Dublin and is a CFA Charterholder.
