LG Uplus Corp is a South Korean telecommunications and Mobile phone operator controlled by the LG Group, one of the country's largest chaebol. It was formerly known as LG Telecom.LG Telecom became one of the first companies to launch a commercial 3G service using PCS technology. A network.In January 2010, LG Telecom merged with LG Dacom and LG Powercom.As of 1 July 2010, LG Telecom changed its name to "LG U+".On July 17th 2013 LG Uplus launched LTE-A service and introduced Galaxy S4 LTE-A, the world’s first "100% LTE" smart mobile phone that can utilize data, voice and text with LTE and not fall back to CDMA. Starting from 2014 LG Uplus plans to release only "100% LTE" phones.
