Hiroshi Okamoto is a Venture Partner based in Los Angeles, California and Tokyo, Japan. He subsequently became CFO of Hollywood-based independent filmmaker Trans Pacific Films and since then has had an intertwined career as both entrepreneur and investor/advisor.He was the founder of E-Street Bagels, an early e-commerce food site in Japan, and co-founder of Irish mobile games publisher Upstart Games, both exited by selling to publicly listed companies. In between launching startups, he has held positions as Director of a Japanese venture capital firm, President of a Japanese securities firm, M&A advisor and private equity real estate investment banker.Hiroshi is a graduate of UCLA and Harvard Business School and is a U.S. CPA (inactive). He splits his time between Los Angeles, where his family – wife, daughter, son – live and Tokyo, where he has spent a significant portion of his career. His greatest passion is seeing how much longer he can keep up with his son in all his sports endeavors.
