Herve Villeroche is a startup investor at THE WORLD BANK. Hervé De Villeroché became the Executive Director for France in March 2013.Before joining the Boards of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group, Mr. de Villeroché was the Head of the Financial Sector Department in the General Directorate of the French Treasury. Early on in his career, he was employed at the French Treasurywhere he was Deputy Head of the Emerging Countries Office; Deputy Head of the Transport and Urbanism Office; and Head of the Emerging Countries Office.From 2000 till 2002, he was the Financial Attaché at the Embassy of France in Germany. Later, he was the Head of Office of Business and Insurance Intermediaries, and Head of the Office of the Deposits Fund and Housing Financing. In 2005, he became Deputy Director for Insurance, and negotiated prudential regulations, savings, risk insurance and state interventions on a European level. In 2007, he took up the position of Deputy Director of Banks and Financing, and was the State Representative to the Banking Commission.From 2008 till 2013, Mr. De Villeroché graduated from the Ecole Superiéure de Commerce, Paris. He holds degrees from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques and the Ecole Nationale d’Administration in Paris.
