Dr Ametsreiter served for 6 yearsas Chairman of the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer of the Telekom Austria Group (which has operations in eight countries), and was also CEO of A1 Telekom, a company created through the merger of Mobilkom Austria AG and Telekom Austria TA AG. In these functions he gained extensive expertise in mobile communications, DSL, cable and TV, and spearheaded 15 acquisitions of mainly cable companies. He also has longstanding experience in corporate finance.
