Greater Victoria Angel Network is a VC fund in Victoria focused on Health Care and Manufacturing. At present, our group has over 50 independent Angel Investors and is growing. Our Angels are primarily accomplished technology entrepreneurs and/or successful business persons that now reside in the greater Victoria area and wish to make early stage investments in new companies. Many of our Angels have considerable experience and domainexpertise and will often provide mentoring and advice to the companies in which they invest.The Ideal Startup Investment for our group would be:- A company that has identified and demonstrated clear market need/demand for a new product or service- A company that has a well defined and tested product / service to meet that need- A company that can articulate its sustainable competitive advantage in the marketplace- A company that has put together a competent management / technical team capable of taking the company to the next level- Founders that have raised some friends and family money for the venture, or can demonstrate some financial “skin in the game” (commitment beyond just time)- A company that can articulate their business model, and their plan to get their product/service to market- A company that has a well prepared investor presentation with realistic financial projections- A company that is located in Greater Victoria or Greater Vancouver, BC.
