In 1991, she joined one of the world's largest mining companies, Rio Tinto Limited in their Corporate Finance and Treasury Departments. Eve has an excellent understanding of both the back and front office of a Corporate Treasury. As supervisor of Treasury she was responsible for the Group's central banking activities. As manager of the front office and dealing desk, Eve managed a debt portfolio of US$4billion, invested the group's surplus cash in the money market and transacted foreign exchange conversions in the spot and forward markets. Eve was involved in Rio Tinto's successful debt issue of Yankee Bonds US$300million into the US public debt market; making them the first company in Australia to issue in the USA.After 8 years of service with Rio Tinto, Eve took a short family break, and returned to work as a consultant with Village Roadshow Limited implementing a new general ledger and reporting system for their IT Department. She joined JAFCO in 2000 on completion of the last stage of her contract with Village Roadshow Limited.Eve holds a Bachelor of Economics from La Trobe University in Melbourne and is a Certified Practicing Accountant.
