MD from the Medical School of the University of Erlangen, where he also received his ~MDPhD (German: Habilitation). Currently chairman of public company Probiodrug, as well as of private companies AOT, credentis and LMD (Léman Micro Devices); board member of Aptose Biosciences Inc (public) and Viroblock SA (private).
