Eren N. Sarıkaya is a pre-seed investor at Vexnor Technology in Izmir focused on Medical and Robotics. I graduated from (Radiology)Vocational High School of Health in 2017. During my two-year internship in the healthcare sector, I gained practical knowledge in areas such as anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and biomedical technologies. In 2019, I completed the English preparatory program at the School of Foreign Languages, Manisa Celal BayarUniversity, and subsequently began my studies in Bioengineering at the Faculty of Engineering. I also enrolled in a double major program in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.Throughout my university years, I took part in various engineering projects, gaining both theoretical and hands-on experience. I presented academic work on topics such as COVID-19 vaccine technologies, atmospheric water harvesting towers, and bioinformatics analysis. As a recipient of the TÜBİTAK 2247-C Internship Researcher Scholarship, I participated in a TÜBİTAK-1002-funded research project focused on developing wound dressing materials from okra mucilage.Inspired by muscle biomechanics, I began designing an electromechanical artificial muscle in 2013. In 2021, I filed a national patent application via my university through the Turkish Patent Office. In 2022, this project won first place in a national competition on biomimetic engineering solutions. It later progressed into an international patent application and was further developed under the TÜBİTAK 2209-B university-industry cooperation program in 2024.The same year, I won the TÜBİTAK 1812 Investment-Based Entrepreneurship Grant and co-founded Vexnor Technology Inc., backed by the Turkey Development Fund and TÜBİTAK BİGG Fund. Our core project also earned first place in a university startup competition. My engineering and entrepreneurial work has primarily focused on developing biomimetic actuator systems for exoskeletons and humanoid robotics.My projects cover end-to-end engineering design, prototyping, and patenting stages. I continue to play an active role in R&D and innovation, particularly in the interface between biomechanics and next-generation wearable robotics.
