Eileen Rudden is a seed investor in Boston focused on Software and Education. Eileen Rudden is the founder of Sankaty Growth Partners, and co-founder of LearnLaunch. Most recently, she served as the Chief Officer of College and Career Preparation for the Chicago Public Schools, where she led the efforts of the third largest public school system in the U.S. to ensure that its 400,000 students are college and career ready. Shewas a 2009 Broad Fellow and graduate of the Broad Superintendent’s Academy. Rudden is the Board Chair of SoundBite Communications (NASDAQ: SDBT), and former VP and GM of the Unified Communications Division at Avaya, a Fortune 500 business communications provider. At IBM’s Lotus Software unit, Rudden was senior vice president and general manager responsible for Lotus Notes and Same Time, the leading email and collaboration software. She also served as CEO of FairMarket (NASDAQ:FAIM).She is currently Chair of the Advisory Committee on Computing and Information Technology at Brown. She also serves as a board member at The Achievement Network, KnowledgeWorks Foundation, Massachusetts Business Alliance for Education, Maria Mitchell Association, and Pew Center on the Internet and American Life. Rudden received her MBA from Harvard Business School and her BA from Brown University.
