As vice president of proprietary trading, Edward pioneered D. E. Shaw’s entry into the trading of M&A activity, forming and managing a highly regarded quantitative risk arbitrage business. Edward returned to the technology field in 2000 as an angel investor and director of business development for Vindigo, an early and successful provider of location services for mobile devices. Edward graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor with a dual degree in Honors Mathematics and English Literature.
