Mr. Wall was the co-founder of Genea Energy, a Software as a Service Company focused on delivering energy related optimization solutions to commercial building owners through its Building Optimization Platform technology. Doug joined Genea in September 2006 and led their first outside financing round in February 2007 and has led all follow-on financings totaling $13 million. Doug recruited Genea’s CEO and several key members of management, service providers and took a leadership role in the financial and operational management of the Company including: financial reporting, intellectual property protection, tax and legal matters, investor relations, human resources and risk management, and other operational responsibilities. In September 2009, Genea was selected by Forbes magazine as one of America’s most promising companies and by Microsoft as a case study profiling Genea and Microsoft’s advanced technologies. Tech America recently awarded Genea’s Building Optimization Platform and Smart Switch as their 2010 most innovative product. During his 33 year career, Mr. Wall has developed an extensive network of strategic relationships and has assisted over 1,000 companies with a broad range of issues including: Mr. Wall is a serial entrepreneur who is passionate about helping other entrepreneurs. In his career, he has been a strategic advisor to numerous venture capital funds as well as numerous private and public companies. Mr. Wall is the Founder of RCG Management (Alitum) which was acquired by Mission Ventures. RCG Management became the premier contracted management firm serving the emerging and middle market private company sector for Southern California. Mr. Wall’s background and experience include: investor and strategic partner relationships, marketing and business development and strategic direction and planning. From 1985 to 2001, Alitum served over 1,000 high growth companies including: Enterprise Partners, Mission Ventures, Shepherd Ventures, Forward Ventures, Wireless Facilities, Leap Wireless, HNC Software, Chipsoft (Intuit), XLNT Designs, Comps, Copper Mountain Networks, SAIC, Legoland, and Websense. Mr. Wall has developed strategic relationships.
