His group transformed AstraZeneca’s Oncology pipeline through numerous licensing deals, clinical alliances, and academic collaborations. Detlev has also held multiple roles at Novartis including Global Head of Portfolio Management and Analysis, where his group provided oversight of Novartis’ research and early development portfolio.Detlev began his career as a Principal at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and performed his academic research with Dr. Rudolf Jaenisch at the Whitehead Institute at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA.
