In addition, Dr. Winstanly is responsible for the office of the Chief Medical and Scientific Officer, Quality Assurance and Business Ethic functions.Prior to joining Quintiles, Dr. Winstanly worked for Glaxo Wellcome, plc, now GlaxoSmithKline, for 15 years, most recently serving as President of Nippon Wellcome, now GlaxoSmithKline K.K., in Japan.Dr. Winstanly graduated as a Medical Doctor MBChB from the University of Pretoria, South Africa in 1972 and is registered as Medical Practitioner in both the U.K. and South Africa.
