David Yuan is a Series C investor at Redpoint in Shanghai focused on Software and Analytics. David Yuan launched Redpoint China in 2005, with offices in Beijing and Shanghai. David is currently a board member of iDreamSky (NASDAQ IPO), Yixia, Bangcle, Apus, Renreche, and XuetangX. He also led Redpoint’s investment in Cgen Media (acquired by Focus Media), Qihoo 360 (NYSE IPO), 51.com, Miaozhen, and Domob (acquired by Blue Focus). He wasalso an early investor in Focused Photonics (China IPO).Prior to joining Redpoint, David co-founded and served as CEO of iTelco Communications, a technology and solution provider. Previously, David co-founded Genesol Enterprise, one of the first telecommunications system integration companies in China.David holds a BS degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management, where he was a Sloan Fellow.
