David is a Managing Partner of the firm and served as a General Partner of its predecessor, ComVentures.David is also a Managing Director at Gramercy, a leading emerging markets investment firm, where he is Co-Head of Latin America Private Equity. Before joining ComVentures, he worked at JPMorgan Partners, where he was a General Partner and the global head of the firm's communications, semiconductors and storage technology investment group. Before that, David was a member of the founding team of Deutsche Morgan Grenfell (DMG) Technology Group, which later became Credit Suisse First Boston. There, he established the global communications equipment practice, advising and investing in numerous high growth companies. Earlier in his career David worked in the Investment Banking group for Lehman Brothers in San Francisco.David holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley. He was a founding board member of the Silicon Valley Telecom Council and formerly was on the Infotech Advisory Board, a leading venture capital firm and a strategic partner of the firm in China.
