His prior positions within AT&T included International Chief Information Officer and Commercial Market Services Vice President, Product and Market Management Vice President for General Business Systems, and Material Management and Customer Service Director for AT&T’s Equipment Businesses. Dr. Mehan began his AT&T career as a Member of the Technical Staff of Bell Telephone Laboratories. Dr. Mehan has strong background in information systems, cyber security, business management, marketing initiatives and technology development. Dr. Mehan has been an Independent Non Executive Director of Foxconn International Holdings Limited since July 2007. He serves as a Director of the North American Telecommunications Association, the Japan-U.S Telecommunications Research Institute, and the United States Telecommunications Training Institute. Dr. Mehan graduated from Drexel University with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. He also has a Master's Degree in Systems Engineering and a Ph.D. in Operations Research from the University of Pennsylvania.
