Christopher Kaufman is a startup investor at Excell Partners in Rochester. He also holds a Ph.D. in Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology, and Genetics from the University of Minnesota where he studied thedevelopmental role of proto-oncogenes in vertebrate embryogenesis. Subsequent post-doctoral research focused on gene therapy optimization, during which he received a post-doctoral fellowship at the Max-Delbrück-Center for Molecular Medicine in Berlin, Germany and the NIH T32 training grant at the University of Rochester Medical Center. He has published multiple papers and traveled to international conferences to present his work. Christopher has also taught as an adjunct instructor in the Biology Department at Nazareth College. Christopher is currently pursuing a M.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Medical Management at the University of Rochester’s Simon School of Business.
