Charles Qu is a venture partner of DFJ DragonFund. He is one of the most known corporate executives in China’s IT industry, who has 24 years of experience in business strategy, management, marketing, finance, investment and pre IPO for large China and Global enterprises.Starting in 1988, Mr. Qu established two companies in Zhongguancun andpurchased a hotel business from United States in 1995. He became one of the earliest asset acquisition Chinese investor in United States.Mr. Qu joined Lenovo Group as vice president. With his rich business experience, Lenovo had achieved an outstanding sales record in commercial clients market, and he also made a significant contribution to Lenovo’s winning the top spot in IT sales. He then joined Samsung (China) Investment as Managing Director and Vice President. He was responsible for Samsung s commercial business in China and became the youngest Chinese executive in Samsung during that time. He set up the strategic goals for Samsung to become the top 3 company in the commercial application area within 3 to 5 years. Mr. Qu formed a professional sales team which covered the major cities and industrial customers. Under his management, Samsung’s value had grown 100% in two consecutive years in the commercial application area from 2007 to 2009.In the beginning of 2010, Mr. Qu was invited to serve as president and CEO of Aigo Electronics Corporation; he devoted himself to build a brand of Chinese national pride, prestige and a top-class international high-tech company. Starting in 2001, Mr. Qu becomes the managing partner of CBC Private Equity Investment Fund. He is mainly responsible for merger, acquisition, restructure, financing and fund management, and involves in the deals for Aigo Electronics’ merger, Kangde Xin’s financing and merger, Along Tech’s merger, and Agricultural industry fund’s financing.
