Bruno Bolsens is a startup investor at Big Pi Ventures in Athens. When he was asked to take up a teaching position at Leuven University after his PhD, Bruno chose instead to become co-founder and CTO of his own Belgian startup SNOX. After acquisition of SNOX by Grenzebach, he stayed on as CTO to spread the AGV and robotics technology within the Grenzebach Group. In this position he developed award-winning newwarehouse robots.He then moved to an independent position as freelance expert. This brought him in close cooperation with technology companies such as Swisslog, KUKA and RoboCoaster. The last few years he has been intensely involved with Tesla in the USA for the factories in California and Nevada, in the field of his expertise. His regular presence in the Bay Area also introduced him to many diaspora Greeks, founders/investors/tech employees, many of which are looking to establish some link between the Bay Area and the Greek homeland.
