Brian MacInnes is a startup investor at Bonfire Ventures. I have run the gamut of finance roles in Los Angeles after graduating from UC Santa Barbara. I started my career at Deloitte as an Audit Manager in the Technology, Manufacturing and Telecommunications (TMT) group. After that, I helped a number of later-stage startups in Los Angeles, most notably TrueCar, where I played a key role in the company’sIPO filing. For the better part of the last decade, I worked at Evolution Media Capital, a private equity fund formed in a partnership between TPG Growth Capital and Creative Artists Agency (CAA), and Platinum Equity. At both funds I worked closely with our portfolio companies to implement best practices in finance and operations. I am a licensed CPA in the State of California (Inactive). I live in Los Angeles with my wife Jesse and our three young boys. When I am not coaching the kids in soccer or other sports you can find me working on my golf game.
