In 2001, Mr. Belzberg founded TorQuest and is currently Senior Managing Partner. TorQuest, based in Toronto, manages in excess of $700 million of private equity funds, principally in Canada. TorQuest and its predecessor Harrowston havemanaged over $1 billion of private equity capital with a focus on buy-outs and growth investments across a broad range of industries. Mr. Belzberg is a director of CIBC, Associated Brands, DayMen Lowepro, Herbal Magic and Global Traffic Technologies. He was previously a director of Four Seasons Hotels, O & Y REIT, CNC Global Ltd. (“CNC Global”), and GCAN Insurance Company. Mr. Belzberg is also a director of The Gerald Schwartz and Heather Reisman Foundation, Mount Sinai Hospital and Canadian Council for Christians and Jews. Mr. Belzberg received a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Queen’s University in 1972 and a J.D. from the University of Toronto in 1976.
