During his tenure at Microsoft, Bill was a leading expert on HIPAA in the Healthcare National Consulting Practice, and was key member of the HealthVault and Amalga teams, including partnering with the Mayo Clinic to build the Mayo Clinic Health Manager application, which brought together the Microsoft platform with the expertise of the Mayo Clinic.At Numera, a medical device and remote patient monitoring company, he led the product management of its FDA Class 2 system, and served as both Chief Privacy and Security Officer. He is board certified in Healthcare Management as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and was a founding member, and past president, of the Washington Chapter. Bill serves as advisor to several technology companies and has been a mentor for healthcare startup companies in both TechStars and DreamIT Ventures. Reid has a Master’s of Science from Tufts University, and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a certificate in healthcare ethics from the University of Washington School of Medicine.
