Bijan Vaez is an innovative Senior Executive and Entrepreneur with more than 10 years of success spanning software, hardware, and professional services. In 2009, Bijan founded EventMobi, a leading event technology SaaS platform now used by 15,000+ customers in 70+ countries around the world. For eight years, he led Product, Engineering, andDesign teams as the company’s Chief Technology Officer. He played an integral role in building the company from the ground up, utilizing innovative architecture and engineering practices to scale a small engineering team for rapid growth. Under his leadership, EventMobi grew without external funding to achieve multiple honours and awards, including being listed on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 in Canada and Fast 500 in North America, and recognition as one of Canada’s Top Small & Medium Employers in 2018. Prior to EventMobi, he served as a Product Marketing Engineer for AMD and was part of a team that built an award-winning medical iOS app that enabled cataract self-diagnosis.Bijan holds a BASc in Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto. In 2015, Bijan was nominated for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award.
