Most recently, Ash was CEO of Applied MicroStructures, a Horizon Venturesnanotech portfolio company. Ash also founded Kosha Group, Inc. (koshagroup.com) a global business strategy and investment advisory firm supporting the high tech industry. Ash co-founded and was CEO of Bay Microsystems, a network processor company. Here he built the infrastructure from inception and delivered a working product while raising two rounds of venture capital. Prior to Bay, he was President of Rise Technology, a microprocessor company, raising the initial venture round and putting together the management team for the company. He was also instrumental in turning around Global Village Communications, a communications company building modems for Apple products, helping the company to grow from an annual run rate of $10 million to over $70 million prior to its IPO. Ash started his career as a Process Engineer at Texas Instruments. He worked at Intel in various operational roles in Engineering, Manufacturing, and Biz Dev prior to taking on senior executive roles at Xilinx, S3, Paradigm Technology and Tyan Computers. He has also been a consultant to many start-ups.
