Andy Kung is a well-recognized investor in the semiconductor field, with 20 years’ experience in investment and fund management in TMT, Integrated Circuits and high-end Manufacturing. Andy has played several key roles in a variety of semiconductor ventures before he founded CTC, including Partner of Pacific Venture Partners (a regional fundestablished in 1990 focusing on Asia-Pacific semiconductor investment), Executive Partner of Oriza Prior, Executive Partner of Oriza Seed, and General Manager of Tongli Venture Capital. Andy has successfully led several landmark projects including: Changzhou AAC Technologies (02018.HK), Wuxi Suntech Power (NYSE: STP), Shanghai Haier Integrated Circuit (acquired by 300183), Spreadtrum Communications (NASDAQ: SPRD), High Power Lighting Corp (6559.TW), Cambricon Technologies, etc. Andy has been repeatedly invited by Shanghai Finance and Economics Channel to mentor entrepreneurial programs, and was selected as “Ace Judge of Talent” and “Most Dedicated Mentor in 2010”. He was also invited as lecturer for the President Class of Private Equity and International Venture Capital in Shanghai Jiaotong University. In 2018, Andy was awarded the title of “Nanjing Investment Promotion Ambassador” by the Nanjing Municipal Government.
