The Company went public in 1993, and eventually the family's control was sold to Cultor, a Finnish group, in 1995.Previously, he was also an executive vice president of Compañía Productora Nacional de Aceites (Coprona S.A.), a major local producer of edible oils and margarine. Coprona –controlled by the Furman family- was sold to Unilever in 1989.Alejandro Furman holds an MBA from University of California (UCLA), and a Chemical Engineering Degree from the University of Minnesota.
