Alberto Genovese (Alberto Maria Genovese) is an Italian entrepreneur and angel investor, founder of Facile.it and Prima Assicurazioni, and co-founder of Fondazione Laura e Alberto Genovese ETS.Alberto Maria Genovese, born on May 28, 1977, in Naples, has graduated in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan and began hisprofessional journey at top firms like Goldman Sachs, McKinsey & Company, and Bain & Company. Between 2005 and 2009, he led the Motors and New Businesses division at eBay.In 2008, he launched a price comparison platform initially called Assicurazioni.it, which later became Facile.it, focusing on insurance and financial products. The company was sold to Oakley Capital in 2014. That same year, he co-founded Prima Assicurazioni, a digital insurance company that raised €100 million in 2018 from investors including Goldman Sachs and Blackstone. Genovese also started Brumbrum, an online used car retailer, and invested in various startups like Abiby, Zappyrent, and Jobtech.In December 2025, AXA acquired the majority of Prima Assicurazioni, valuing the company at approximately €1.6 billion; with that transaction Genovese completed his full exit, worth approximately €89.7 million.Today Genovese is co-founder of Fondazione Laura e Alberto Genovese ETS, a Milan-based non-profit that offers free, permanent psychological support to families of people affected by drug addiction, runs an outpatient clinic in Milan and the residential care center Casa di Stefano. He is also a supporter of Movimento Italiano Diritti Detenuti, an association providing free digital tools to protect prisoners' rights in Italy.In July 2026, Genovese joined the board of Nessuno tocchi Caino, the Italian non-profit campaigning against the death penalty and for detainees' rights, as head of fundraising.
