Adriana Tortajada is a pre-seed investor at Mexico Ventures in Mexico City focused on FinTech and Wellness. Since July 2016, Adriana is head of the Venture Capital and Mezzanine team.Over the past decade, she has been a leader in portfolio management and public/multilateral fundraising in Mexico. In 2013 she was part of the founder team at the National Entrepreneurship Institute (INADEM), where she designs and lead (grants and co-investment)programs focus on boost the young financial ecosystem for high impact entrepreneurs, helping to re-launch the National Guarantees System with the National Investment Bank (NAFINSA) and the most successful platform to co-invest with first time fund and fist time fund managers (35 new investment vehicles 2013-2015).Tortajada was part of the Entrepreneur Venture Capital Fund CONACYT-NAFIN* since 2004. She is a founding member of the first public capital fund for technology and scientific entrepreneurs, where she leads the negotiation and closing of 44 investments (US$20 million) in seed and venture transactions throughout Mexico. Also she collaborates in the design of the strategy to create the venture capital industry in the country, which include the launching of the first venture capital fund of funds Mexico Ventures 1 (US$100 million).
