Tony is the founder of Gandel Invest and has over 25 years' experience in the Australian property industry.At Gandel Invest, Tony and the team are focussed on innovation and growth and believe strong relationships with our business partners are integral to successful investments.Before founding Gandel Invest, Tony held the position ofJoint Managing Director of Gandel Retail Management (GRM), a specialist property management group. GRM was established in 2002 when the retail assets of Colonial First State Property Trust were merged with the retail assets of Gandel Retail Trust.As Joint Managing Director of the Gandel Group’s retail assets, Tony was instrumental in this transaction, which consolidated Gandel Retail Trust’s position as the second largest retail trust on the Australian Stock Exchange.At Gandel Retail Management, Tony was responsible for acquisitions, leasing, centre management and operations, marketing and investor relations.During his time as Joint Managing Director, funds under management increased from approximately $2bn to $8bn through organic growth and conservatively financed acquisitions.Tony commenced his career in the Marketing Department at Cadbury, where he held the position of Marketing Product Manager. Tony left Cadbury to join the Gandel Group, where he held several roles across the Gandel Group before being appointed to Joint Managing Director in 1998.Tony’s experience in property has also seen him successfully partner with a number of property developers in residential and commercial developments.Tony holds a Bachelor of Business from Monash University and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
